Let's Work Together

Over the last few years we have developed, what we believe to be the best client journey possible.

It has been designed to be user friendly, whilst still ensuring you are given all the information you need to make an informed decision, based upon current (and pending) legislation.
Our consultants are trained to provide you with as much background information as you require in an interesting and straightforward manner.

It is our experience that many people believe they are not fully aware of what can be achieved by sensible estate planning, or have been put off by hourly rates or non-fixed pricing.
It is our goal to understand your situation first and then make sure you are fully aware of all your options and their implications. Only then can we provide you a menu of solutions and our fully transparent fixed costs.

How we work with you

Stage 1: Fact Finding
  We carry out a detailed and specially designed Fact Find which allows us to identify the following;

  • Your current position (financial and family tree)
  • Your current concerns
  • Your current objectives
  • Your attitude to risk, and whether you want to avoid any of the threats that may dilute the inheritance ultimately enjoyed by your chosen beneficiaries

Stage 2: Options

We explain all your options in plain English.
This includes the benefits, disadvantages and costs associated with each option, answering any questions you may have enabling you to make fully informed decisions about these very important matters.

Your options are explained in more detail here but briefly comprise of;

  • Do nothing
  • Basic Will and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). This is the bare minimum; offers no protection, or certainty but avoids the most basic threats and is much better than doing nothing
  • Basic estate planning. This provides some protection and is certainly far better than a basic Will

We are not salesmen and do not apply any sales pressure whatsoever. You are free to decide what the best option is for you.

Stage 3: Instructions
  If you are happy with our advice and recommendations we have made, we take your instructions and agree a bespoke estate plan.This sets out your timetable for dealing with these matters.

We send draft Wills for approval within a week or so and once approved arrange the attestation (see Stage 4 below).

If you want time to consider these important matters before making a decision, we can book a further appointment, giving you as long you need to decide what is right for you.
This enables you to fully consider your current position, objectives and budget.

We will leave the information with you to review and consider. We can also email PDF documents to you, or send a full report and recommendation letter by post.

Stage 4: Attestation

Our attestation service is the final part of the process.

We visit you again to explain all the documents we’ve produced, ensuring that you fully understand and are happy with all the documents, before signing them.

We supervise the signing and witnessing to make sure that they are all signed and witnessed correctly.
